Some of us might need several things for the bathroom. Many people, when they look at their bathroom and decide it needs a lift, immediately think of extensive changes and become overwhelmed with the thought of completely remodeling the room. The good news is that changes can be made for the better, without having to hurt the hip pocket too much.

Start with little things. Could you change the theme or feel of the room by adding some new curtains or even just changing the shower curtain? You can find some very affordable accessories, such as soap dishes and toothbrush holders, that can be quite decorative.

If that’s not enough and you want to make bigger changes first ask yourself this. Am I happy with the theme of the bathroom or do I want to change it? For example, do you have a modern set up or is it an older theme? Many people are opting to choose antique bathroom vanities to recreate a Victorian theme from yesteryear. Sears have some lovely (and more affordable) antique style vanities available.

Add to this, towel warmers, light fixtures, wall cabinets, wall mirrors and even basin taps that reflect this era and you have yourself a completely ‘new’ bathroom without the expense and upheaval of a total refit.

Changing, or at least, enhancing the lighting of the room can also have a big impact. Introducing brighter vanity lighting, repositioning light fixtures and even adding a mirror to the front of the medicine cabinet can make the bathroom seem much more spacious.

Of course, there are modern or contemporary, nautical or even floral design ideas for themed bathrooms, in fact you are only limited by your imagination. You could add towel warmers to wall bathroom rugs with funky designs or perhaps a wicker hamper and storage cabinet. And all of these things can be done easily and affordable to give your bathroom a complete makeover without the hassle and expense of completely remodeling the bathroom.
